How to paint BMX cranks?
I'm considering buying a new BMX cranks, they are bright white, I want to spray them with gold.
Will I remove old paint and do I need to use primer, varnish, etc.
The old paint must be removed - ideally, use sandpaper for this, ensuring it is evenly sanded so the new paint goes on the end. Then you need to use primer, probably at least 2 layers of it.

gt made a set of cranks in the 80’s that were called power series cranks, primo came out with thiers that were pretty similar. old mosh cranks used the idea and they never got loose but the crappy spindles they had twisted hopefully shadow has a nice strong spindle to back up the amount of stress the 8 splines create. thats what im thinking… “nice, primo cranks but redone so i dont have to worry about the stupid fucking pedal spline shit stripping… but wait. shadow took a crank that seth rode for awhile and made it better. i dont here anybody dogging every company that makes a crank similar to profile. They even ripped off the part of the primp cranks that make them suck ass. sometimes making better is better than creating something completely new, just because it resembles doesnt mean its the same. primo made a tapered square so there would be some room to flex but the 8 splines makes them stiff....
